Debut album “Devastations” (2018) and their sophomore album "Pure Filth" (2022) were well received in the national and international press. Two split singles were released in 2024 with Grim Fate and BOCC.

 

 In 2026 Mouflon is due to return with the release of their third album "Eros and Thanatos". The album was recorded and mixed by Ronny Kessels at Audio Overdose (NL) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege in Portland (US), known for his work with Obituary, Death, Gatecreeper, Nails and Sleep. The end result enabled a new level of sonic brutality.

 

 Older, stronger and colder they return rejuvenated and hungry. The new album "Eros and Thanatos" showcases their growing musical talent with a strong sound, relentlessly brutal yet catchy material while retaining the group's trademark old school death metal heaviness. From the crushing opening track “The Divine Wind”, to the closing tank rolling monster “She Who Is Death”, the devastating “When Lone Wolves Gather” and the death metal stomper “Libertine Lust”, Mouflon have transferred the classic trademarks into the year 2026. The ripping riffs, the titanic roar of RJ, the pounding drumming and macabre atmosphere are Mouflon from start to finish. The album has a sludgy feel and integrated devastatingly slow passages along with obliterating overtures that reached far beyond any point of mayhem, slow-as-hell-yet-fast-as-fuck. With lyrics that deal with the sickness and perversion that lurks below the surface of human nature, this fearsome pack-leading herd is here to haunt, taunt and fully pollute your senses.

 

 The heavy and dark sound, characteristic for Mouflon, is a mix of old school death metal and doom metal that causes a variation in songs with sound waves that make many buildings tremble. Influenced by the old school bands but not acting like a retro band, Mouflon bounces from one head banging moment to the next with a sense of pure destruction! They play frantic and aggressive that results live in a violent straight-in-your-face wall of sound.

 

 

 “Eros and Thanatos” will likely be noted as one of Mouflon’s strongest, and most memorable album.

 

 The band shared the stage with Autopsy, Hypocrisy, Napalm Death, Possessed, Asphyx, Massacre, Malevolent Creation, Unleashed, Pungent Stench, Zeal&Ardor, October Tide, Full Of Hell and played at Eurosonic, Stonehenge fest, Drachten Death fest, Valkhof fest, The Extreme Assault Fest (Athens, Greece), Pitfest and Schoonebeek Death Fest.
